An open-pollinated variety, Waltham Butternut’s vigorous vines produce huge yields of 3-6 lb. fruits with smooth, tan skins and with an orange flesh that has a sweet, nutty flavor. The 9-10 inch fruits have straight, cylindrical necks and small seed cavities.
